*Drum roll please*
With just under a month until it’s release in Australia, the FINAL TRAILER is out for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- and it’s an intense one.
After a number of poster and clip teasers, then finally a trailer, then a second teaser trailer, we- ladies and gentlemen- have our FINAL TRAILER. AKA you have to deal with this shit until the god damn movie comes out.
The new trailer shows Katniss pushing past her depression following the last games to get ANGRY, and they actually gave us that gem from the book “I have a message for president Snow, if we burn…YOU BURN WITH US!” (readers: do you guys remember that part? It was great). This of course is plonked in the middle of a whirlwind of scenes showing a lot of destruction and fighting, however the question remains- where will the film, part 1 of the 3rd book Mockingjay, be cut off?
Here’s the synopsis:
The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
It doesn’t give much away (actually, like, nothing), and neither does the trailer- focusing more on the sombre mood of the next film, rather than any major plot points.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 hits Australian screens November 20, 2014 (god damn).
