BRB DYING. A WHOLE TRAILER. A PROPER TRAILER. WITH SECRET CLIPS.
This is more than we had ever dreamed.
Sherlock Season 3 airs in the UK on January 1st 2014.
We have a new trailer! More a teaser than anything else. Everyone please take note of Anderson’s scruffy beard and hair. My theory is that he secretly loved Sherlock and his death has been too much to bear, sending him into a tailspin of alcohol and depression, as well as amassing a team of Sherlock followers to help him investigate Sherlock’s suicide.
Also, the mournstache returns in a glorious close-up.
Sherlock gets his James Bond/Skyfall on, looking over the city of London all mysteriously and high-cheekboned.

THE GAME IS ON!
The first image from the third season of SHERLOCK has been revealed, featuring our favourite high-cheekboned, collar-poppin’ super sleuth and his faithful, loyal, (and probably majorly pissed off) only friend.
Look at that longing stare.

The highly anticipated third series is due to air in the USA on January 19th, 2014. However, there is no word as yet on a UK or Australian air date.
Writer of Doctor Who and Sherlock, Steven Moffat, provided this caption to go along with the striking image:
[box]“It’s been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof – it’s time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement.”[/box]
It will be interesting to see where in the series this photo takes place, as in the brief clips of the show that we have seen (bottom of the post, if you’ve been living under a rock), it seems that in Sherlocks (Benedict Cumberbatch) absence, John (Martin Freeman) has found relief in the form of a moustache (or, mournstache?), something that he is without in this picture. It also looks like Sherlock’s first glimpse of John since “The Fall”, is in a restaurant.
But this is all mere speculation. However, we did get to see a scene from the 2nd episode of series 3 when we were at San Diego Comic-Con earlier in the year. Not to give too much away, but it was a particularly funny scene between Sherlock and John in which John was asking his friend to undertake a certain role in someones upcoming wedding. Except we all know whose wedding it is.

Original British Drama, 2013
Not all Sherlock in this one, obviously. But it is fairly clear which clips are from the show. Oh, the motorbike with the woman in the red jacket sitting on the back? Yep, that’s from Sherlock.
