Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.
We’re losing our minds right now. Giddy with excitement.
FINALLY, an official version of The Avengers: Age of Ultron teaser showcased at this years 2013 San Diego Comic-Con has been released. The sequel to the billion dollar grossing, and possibly most awesome movie of 2012, is set to hit screens around the world in May 2015.
Joss Whedon is back in the director seat, with all our favourite characters returning (minus Loki, unfortunately) plus more that are sure to be introduced throughout the next Marvel releases leading up to 2015. Our antagonist, our villain, our all-round bad guy in this flick is Ultron (who would have guessed?), who is being played by no other than James Spader (Boston Legal, The Blacklist).
Originally, Ultron was a robot created by Henry Pym (Ant-Man) and his manners were based on Pym’s brain patterns, ultimately leading to an unstable, ferocious and homicidal being.
Though there is an Ant-Man film in the works, with Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, The World’s End) at the helm which is set to be released in 2015, it seems that the U.S Government is responsible for the creation of Ultron this time around, at least according to IMDB. Nevertheless, we’re hungry and excited for it.
“As the US Government create a force, known as Ultron, The Avengers are told they are not needed any longer. But when Ultron turns against Humanity, it’s time for The Avengers to assemble yet again for their most dangerous challenge ever.”
